About
Unmuffle helps when your iPhone speaker sounds muffled after getting wet or dusty, and doubles as a decibel meter and tone generator.
Speaker Cleaner
• Water mode plays a steady 165 Hz tone that vibrates water out of the speaker grille.
• Dust mode sweeps from 60 to 1,000 Hz to shake loose dust and lint.
• 30 second, 1 minute or 2 minute runs, with a gentle vibration.
• Warns you if headphones or a Bluetooth speaker are connected.
Decibel Meter
• See how loud it is around you, with average and peak levels and a live chart.
• Labels from "very quiet" to "dangerous" so you know when to protect your hearing.
• Calibrate against a reference meter if you have one.
Tone Generator
• Any frequency from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with quick presets.
• Play through the left, right or both channels to test speakers and headphones.
Unmuffle can help with water and dust, but it can't repair a damaged speaker. Decibel readings are estimates from your iPhone's microphone. No account, no tracking; sound is never recorded.
