ScanMyRoom: Hidden Camera

ScanMyRoom checks a room for hidden cameras using the sensors already in your iPhone. It is built on one rule: never present a weak signal as a confirmed camera. Every technique tells you how much it can be trusted, and what it cannot see. WHAT IT CHECKS • Wi-Fi network scan — lists the devices on the network you are connected to and reads what their web ports say about themselves. Most hidden cameras stream over IP, so this finds the majority of them. • Bluetooth scan — nearby devices advertising over Bluetooth LE, including cameras in pairing mode. • Lens reflection — the flash pulses, and only points that answer the flash are marked. That is what separates a lens from a shiny surface. • Infrared light — the LEDs night-vision cameras switch on in the dark. Works on both cameras; check it first with a TV remote. • Magnetic field — the magnets and motors inside concealed electronics. • Physical search — a guided, room-by-room checklist. The most reliable method in the app, and the only one that can find a microphone. • Camera hotspot check — recognises the network names cameras broadcast when they run their own Wi-Fi. WHAT IT CANNOT DO No phone can prove a room is clean, and this one does not pretend otherwise. A camera that records to a memory card and transmits nothing emits no signal any sensor can read. A device on its own hidden network will not appear, since iOS does not let any app list nearby Wi-Fi networks. And no phone sensor of any kind can detect a microphone that only listens — it has no lens, no emitter and no radio. Every app that claims otherwise is selling reassurance. Saying so is the point. A scan you can trust is worth more than one that always finds something. PRIVACY No account. No servers. No analytics. Nothing is transmitted anywhere, because there is nowhere to transmit it to. Detection photographs never enter your photo library and are deleted with their report. The optional plain-language summary runs on your iPhone using Apple's on-device model, and never sees an image.
