About
Pawday answers one question for dog owners: where do we go today?
The Today tab starts with a walk index. Today's high, rain chance, fine dust and wind become a 0-100 score tuned to your dog's size, with a one-line reason. Sunrise and sunset sit next to it, so on hot days you can plan the walk after sundown.
Below it, "Where today?" picks dog-friendly places around you (or around a region you choose) that admit your dog's size. It weighs more than distance, weather and hours: places with recent blog posts, good Google Maps ratings and photos come first. On rainy days indoor places move up, and late at night the list is built for tomorrow's daytime. A place appears once per screen. A "Pawday score" folds popularity, recent buzz, reputation, dog-friendliness and trust into one score and tier (S-D), and "match with me" says how well a place fits your dog and today. Taps, favorites and votes are learned on the device only and can be reset in Settings.
Then come "Trending now", "Trending themes" (terrace, rooftop, a view, water play: the traits showing up in recent posts), "Today's course" (two or three stops you can walk between, like park → café), weekend trips and a guide per province.
The Map tab shows 30,000+ dog-friendly places across Korea. Places with photos get photo pins, dense areas collapse into numbered bubbles, and a photo strip of what is on screen helps you pick. Categories: cafés, restaurants, stays, dog parks, parks, culture, trips, vets and pet services.
Each place shows photos, address, hours, closed days, dog rules (admitted sizes, extra fee, indoor/outdoor), its Google Maps rating, how many blog posts mention it in the last six months, places to pair it with nearby, review previews and directions in Maps. Mark how it went with your dog (good / not great), and report a wrong or closed listing in one tap.
"Ask Pawday" understands requests like "an indoor café, it's raining" and finds places. On devices with Apple Intelligence it answers on the device; elsewhere it runs the same search from buttons or typed words.
The Home Screen widget shows today's walk index and nearby picks without opening the app. Optionally, a 7:30 morning note brings the walk index and one pick. While you wait, "Pawday Playground" lets your dog chase squirrels on screen.
Features:
- Walk index from weather, fine dust and wind, adjusted for dog size
- "Where today?" with the places people are talking about first; built for tomorrow's daytime at night
- Trending now, trending themes, today's course, weekend trips, province guides
- Map of 30,000+ dog-friendly places in Korea, photo pins, 9 categories
- Search by name or address, favorites
- Photos, dog rules, hours, closed days, rating, blog post count, source and last-checked date per place
- Ask Pawday (natural-language search answered on the device)
- Home Screen widget (small and medium) and an optional morning note
- Korean and English
- No account, no ads, no tracking
Place data comes from Korea's open data portals (data.go.kr, the Korea Culture Information Service Agency and the Korea Tourism Organization), and every place shows its source and last-checked date. Photos, ratings and review previews are fetched from Google Maps and Kakao when you look, and place photos and ratings stay on the device for at most 30 days. Your exact location is used on the device for distances only; nearby search and local weather get a coordinate rounded to about 1 km. You can also pick a region instead of sharing location.
