About
A tuner, a metronome and a playable fretboard – for guitar, ukulele, violin and cello.
TUNER
Play a string. The app works out on its own which one it is, and a calm needle shows how far off you are. Nothing to pick, nothing to switch.
• 18 tunings for four instruments: standard, drop D, DADGAD, open G, open D, E flat, drop C, high G and low G for the ukulele, baritone, cello solo tuning and more
• Concert pitch adjustable – for early music as readily as for 442 Hz in the orchestra
• Tolerance adjustable: you decide how close is close enough
• Press and hold a string to hear its target note, in the timbre of the chosen instrument. For tuning by ear.
• German note names use H, English ones B – it follows your device’s language
METRONOME
• A circle of beats instead of a bare number: you can see where in the bar you are
• Set the accents yourself, beat by beat
• Subdivisions down to sixteenths
• Four timbres: wood, guitar, digital, pulse
• Tap the tempo instead of typing it
• Keeps going when the screen goes dark or you leave the app. Alongside music from another app, too.
FRETBOARD
A neck to play, not just to look at.
• Several fingers at once
• Gliding between the frets
• Fretless at the flick of a switch – the way a violin and a cello really are
• Together with the metronome, the note you fret becomes the root of the click. The metronome stops being a timekeeper and becomes something to play with.
WHAT COSTS WHAT
Everything is open for three days. After that the tuner stays free permanently in each instrument’s standard tuning – so you can go on tuning your guitar without paying anything.
The other tunings, the metronome and the fretboard are unlocked with a one-time purchase. No subscription, no advertising.
PRIVACY
The app collects no data. It has no user accounts, no advertising and no internet connection. Sound from the microphone is analysed on the device and discarded straight away – nothing is recorded, stored or transmitted.
