Caminada lists the hikes in Occitania (south of France) that start on foot from a TER train station or a liO regional bus stop: over 1,000 trails, in 14 départements.
Answer four questions (where from, how, when, which hike) and the app shows the trails that start within walking distance. Caminòt, the app's mascot, tells you on each hike whether it suits you and what to plan for. Each hike shows the elevation profile, shade, best season, points of interest, the IGN map and the GPX track, and your round trip is worked out from your station with that day's train and bus times. A hike you keep offline stays readable without network, map included. On the trail, "Je pars" shows how much time you have before the train home, delays included.
The interface is in English and French. The app is free and has no ads.
