AeroTrace is a local-first training session recorder for iPhone and iPad. Capture audio from a compatible wired input and, when you choose, record GPS points on the same session timeline.

No fallback to the built-in microphone or Bluetooth microphones.

Your data stays under your control. AeroTrace stores audio, GPS, and session details locally on your device. The app does not upload this data. You decide when to export a session, delete an individual session, or clear all locally stored recording data.
Location recording is optional. When enabled, AeroTrace continues receiving location updates in the background only while a recording session is active. Continued use of GPS in the background can significantly increase battery usage and reduce battery life. Battery usage varies with the device, recording duration, operating conditions, and selected Location Accuracy. More precise location settings may use more power, so choose the lowest accuracy that meets your needs. AeroTrace provides 100 m, 1 km, and 3 km requested-accuracy options; actual accuracy depends on iOS permissions, the device, and surrounding conditions. You can disable Location During Recording in Settings or stop the recording to stop background location updates.
A compatible wired audio input is required for recording. AeroTrace is a supplemental training documentation tool and is not a navigation instrument, certified recording system, or source for operational decisions.
